Dr. Lee Lai Shan, the first Olympic gold medalist of Hong Kong, was appointed to be the ambassador of Institute of Advanced Learning in promoting continuing education in Hong Kong. Dr. Lee made her dream come true in the 1996 Olympic Games, and set a milestone for the territory. Being a full-time athlete, it had long been her aspiration to pursue studies again, hoping to advance her own knowledge. In 1999, she had overcome difficulties and challenges, and completed a bachelor degree at the University of Canberra in Australia. She is a firm believer in life-long learning. Dr. Lee thinks that education is of utter importance and she would like to share her own experience with youngsters and working adults. |
